Do they appreciate what a fine piece of machinery they will be working on?

Honestly....no, I don't think so, but I'm not too concerned about it. After thoroughly going over the car from waxing it a few times it has some other paint issues I'd like to get sorted out before I spend decent money on a paint job. Or rather I should say, I'm going to get the whole car done properly with a good quality paint job at some point, but that's not now.

When I bought the car I knew it wasn't a show winner and I'll try and slowly get it there, but I'm not ready to spend money on the paint right now. The only reason why I'm getting the quarter panel repaired is so I can get the car registered as a collector and save some money on insurance since I have three cars insured at the moment

Small details done today...Replaced the hood and trunk badges with new BMW ones. Changed the cabin microfilter and hopefully reattached the review mirror. Looking at it from the outside it looks like I didn't get quite enough glue on it, so we'll see how it holds up.

I also had the front left quarter repaired and I'm happy to say that I'm quite pleased with the work that the shop did. For the price I expected it wouldn't be very good, but with my untrained eye I can't even tell it's been painted

I'll post a couple of photos in the next couple of days.

No, I just left the car with them and they didn't grumble about finding the paint colour or code

Here's photos of the fender (still have to change the pin striping on the driver's door):

New emblems on the hood and trunk (bonnet and boot for those in Europe )

Some extra leaves and crap that came out when I pulled out the cabin microfilter:

Old micro filter vs new. BLECHT!!!! I'm glad I decided to change it!!!
