But surely you wouldn't sell the rims off the car?

No, but we could always buy another set and have them sent over in the car I almost always bring in a set of rims along with some other stuff when I bring a car in.

Of course, timing can be a bit tricky. If I have to wait for shipping it's not a problem, but if it's a short amount of time it can be hard to find what you're looking for.

Ah, I see! Though they would need to be transported within Japan.

I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah, no biggie though.

Actually, I've used Jcruisers in Armstrong, BC to bring in wheels before. Their cost usually works out to item cost + $250 to get them to Armstrong which I think is pretty cheap. Of course you then have to pay BC taxes and get them shipped out to ON. Greyhound shipping is pretty reasonable though I think.

I did a big haul about a year and a half ago where I got them to bring in three sets of rims and exhaust and some smaller stuff. Then I just did a day trip out there to pick the stuff up

I got excited when I saw this:

but then I realized it says only one of each I'm not sure if that link is even current though anyway.

The best prices I've seen on older Alpina rims seems to be in classifieds in the U.K.

Problem is getting those sellers to ship to you.

I'd imagine it's expensive as well. I sent a package that was something like 150mm all around a couple of years ago and the cheapest I could send it was $30. Didn't even have a tracking number for that price.

Exchange rate on the GBP is pretty terrible right now too. Basically 2:1 I think.

shipping from europe is not cheap for big items. it usually costs me around $250 to bring a set of 18 inch alloys. i can probably source a set from germany - send me a PM if interested.
