Bummer on the front brakes being expensive.

I guess if the rotors or calipers go you might be better to upgrade to an aftermarket big brake kit. Although I understand the desire to keep things original

Finally got to take the car on a road trip I thought the seats would get uncomfortable, but they were actually good for the whole trip. A couple of pics when I got where I was going:

Yeah, I had to drive on a small portion of dirt road through some road construction....not happy about that.

Sleeping while I enjoyed my time away

Many, many bugs and dirt removed after I got home.

Good for your for enjoying the car even though it get's a little dirty I'm sure it's a great road trip car. Nice to drive it after all the work you've put into it too.

Definitely I take it on lots of short trips, but it was really nice to take it for a longer drive and use some of the V8 awesomeness to pass some slow pokes

Changed out the surround on the door handles tonight.

Before and after.

I had a chance to give the outside a decent detail yesterday. I wanted to do a light cut, but I ran out of time so I clay barred, used a swirl remover on the hood and just waxed the rest. Ignore the sun shield in the front LOL.

Looks really great. Can you tell me more about the swirl remover you used? That is something I need for the L7.
