I've owned my little Monster for about 5 years now...I think. I found it being stored in a barn in Central Maine. A friend actually saw it doing some work for a guy up there. He called me and told me that I just saw a car you're going to want to own. He remembered my days in my mid-20's driving my '74 2002 Tii to the Winter Carnival in Quebec. I took the drive and bought the car on sight, the guy agreed to store it for the winter and I pay him monthly until it was paid off in the spring. It was a Palm Beach car as I understand it. I am still in the process of restoring it...mechanically it's very sound...interior needs new upholstery...trying to find original Alpina cloth, but I have to pay for a roll to be manufactured I'm told. Original paint, black looks great when all buffed and waxed. Looking for a new exhaust system, I am thinking about having one custom built out of stainless steel unless anyone has better and cheaper suggestions. Here's the best part, it only has 100K on it and that's 100K kilometers! All gauges are Euro, of course! If anyone has any leads on some cloth and rugs, pls let me know. Looking forward to the forum, tks for starting it Craig.

welcome to the club....which number is your B6? do you have any pics? the original alpina tissue is out of stock. There are sometimes some seats for sale (like 3,000 euros for a full set.....).

It could be an idea to find a place that could do the tissue: there are for sure a number of owners who would like to redo their seats....including me! the seats are still very good but the 28 years have taken their toll and the fabric is a bit sunburned!

Maybe we need to figure out a way on this forum where we can organize group purchases of these types of rare parts to keep the costs down.

Welcome to the forum Bear and yes, post some pics in an album for us to gawk at (just go to Community>Pictures & Albums>Add Album)
