Default E39 B10 V8 - Only 30k kms!

Yet another one of these E39 B10 V8's at auction. I bet this one will be expensive. It looks like the hood has been changed though, so that may keep the price down a bit.

I'd be nervous about the "W2 Repair Mark/Wave" along the passenger side of the car as well. Any idea what the 5 and 4 on the wheels means?

I wouldn't worry about it. I've bought cars with W2 markings and it's still barely noticeable. W3's are bad though. My car came with an S3 on the roof and it's nothing that can't be buffed out with the right equipment.

I've never asked, but the numbers on the wheels are probably grades similar to the grades of the car.

I see the yen has been depreciating pretty steadily. We're up to 85. If this goes for a million yen that's about $12,000. Plus all the other charges of course but still, an exceptional bargain for a car with essentially 18 months mileage on it.

Not sold at 1.05 million. I was too optimistic.

I dont put much on the value a car pulls the first time through auction. Sometimes sellers have someone push the bid up hoping the pull another bidder up as you cant bid against yourself. Sellers like to go fishing too sometimes.
