Default E28 B7 Turbo for sale on Bring-A-Trailer Auctions

I had no idea where to put this, so I put it here.

RoyW's E28 B7 Turbo is for sale on Bring-A-Trailer using their new auction format. Auction ends Wednesday and bidding got pretty serious early on, though it has stalled until likely the last hour or so before the end.

sold for $ 60,500....very nice car but that is a high amount. Of course, rarity drives the price.
The car is stunning however I wonder why the odometer is up to 240 km/h. All B7 turbo should have had one up to 300 km/h so this one may have been changed.

I was surprised by the final price too, but it did look like it was really clean. If I was ever going to sell mine I'd make sure it was all cleaned up like that as well.

Interesting about the OD...

It's really not all that interesting.

In the USA, our speedos are in MPH. One of the requirements during the Federalization process was to change the speedometer to one that read in MPH. The Federalizers did things wildly different on cars. My car had its original parts reinstalled. Some didn't. The paper documentation on this car is extensive so I wouldn't be concerned with it. The 240kph speedo is wrong, but correct for a Euro 528i which is what this car is built on. I do agree it should have the 300mph one but that isn't too hard to find or worst case, you can have one made.
