Default E46 B3 3.3 Limo #001!!!

I totally dropped the ball on posting this, but I thought I'd put it out there for information anyway. On Dec 4 E46 build No. 001 for limos (sedan) was at auction in Japan. No idea what it sold for because it sold under negotiation, but pretty neat to see that the first one built was out there and available!

With the prices lately I'd be surprised to see any "new" Alpina's showing up on Canadian shores. I'm glad I got mine when I did

Default servicing and ICBC rates in BC

Hi there, a quick question. Can Alpina get serviced at the BMW dealer in the lower Mainland (BC)? I am considering to buy at the Japanese auction, but servicing and ICBC rates are something I would like to have some clarity on before that.
Any comment will be appreciated!

Living in Ontario I have no knowledge about BC BMW dealers. Here they were able to order any Alpina parts I needed. The work I had done at my local independent European specialist.

I did do a lot of the parts research myself, finding part # etc.

Default Servicing Aplina

Thanks, I would assume, if Ontario could order so will BC. Are there any outrageous premiums on insurance?

Not sure about BC but here in Ontario I could only get specialty insurance for classics (Hagerty). The rate is reasonable but it comes with various restrictions on mileage, stored indoors, not winter driven, etc.

Definitely look into insurance before you buy.

I've insured my Alpina under both regular and classic policies. Regular was no worse than average. Classic is a bargain.
