Okay I'm being a little presumptuous, but I don't know of any E39 Alpinas in Canada (I've seen one in the US).
This could be a very affordable way to bring one in: a 1997 B10 V8 with 165,000 km and automatic shift. Those relatively high miles combined with the less desirable auto shifter is a recipe for a cheap pickup at the auctions in Japan this week. This one goes December 4: |

we actually thought about it but decided to wait until 2016 to bring a facelift E39 ALPINA.

Looks like Cdnalpina just bought what could be the first E39 into Canada. And i don't think it was this one.
