who actually went to tedfest from this forum? i arrived quite late and only had time for a quick browse taking some photos, shook hands with ted and left shortly after. on my way home i stopped by the "absolute towers" in mississauga, which is an awesome location for photos if you like modern architecture (like i do as an architect). here is a few shots - in no particular order - from the meet:

Had a great time at Tedfest! A BIG thanks to Ted and the other organizers and sponsors.

By my count there were 4 Alpinas there. A red B3, green B12 5.0, blue B10 3.5 and a blue B10 bi-turbo. I was trying to find a picture of them all together but nothing so far...

The owner of the green B12, Paul, said he's not on this board, not sure how Ted found him. I suggested he might like to join.

There were also some E38s with Alpina front lips, wheels, etc. It was a great show for older BMWs in general. Check out the Tedfest page on Facebook for some pictures.

I forget who told me they were the owner of the L7? I'd never heard of those before, that thing was awesome

Yes TedFest was terrific! It has spurred my desire to start a BMW club in my local city. I'm looking forward to next year.

I'm the L7 owner. Was that your red Alpina?

Had the owner of the B12 heard of our little forum?

@Stirling, yep that's me (Jeff) with the red B3 with the child seat in the back

Thanks for posting the picture of the Alpinas together, somehow when I go to meets I never think to take pictures of my own car.

That L7 is really spectacular, how did you come to own it?

The owner of the B12 is Paul, and he hadn't heard of the forum. I'll send him an email in a bit if I don't see him join. He's pretty local to me so though lt we might try to get the cars together again one of these days.

Hello everyone! I am the above mentioned Paul

P.S. Sorry but when I said that I haven't joined the forum I was thinking about the alpinaregister; I'll blame it on the hot weather...

@jrsmitchell I imported the L7 from Japan as they come up for auction periodically and are usually low mileage, and I like super-unusual stuff - like to get a Z1 or RLE
@testdriver sometimes they're not too expensive, mine is a downright bargain for $19,900 and is still for sale
@PaulG glad to see you're already here!
