Hello from Vancouver
I don't own an Alpina yet but am currently looking to purchase one as soon as possible. Interested in e39/e46 B3/B10 models. If anyone could help share their experiences with importing from Japan i'd love the help, been browsing for quite some time now and would like to learn more.
Looking forward to contributing and learning more about alpinas! Alec Last edited by aleckread; 11-05-2014 at 10:34 AM. |

Hello Alec and welcome to the forum.
I've imported 15+ vehicles from Japan and have had good experiences most of the time. The important thing is to find a good broker that you can work with. One guy I recommend is Scott and japancardirect.com. He's from Alberta but lives in Japan and is VERY helpful. Don't rush into a purchase - monitor the auctions for a few months to get a feel for what is available and the prices. There is a fairly consistent supply of E39 B10's so you don't have to grab the first one that comes along. E46's are a bit tougher because not many of them are old enough to come to Canada yet, but it gets better every day! |
