New member of Alpina family
Hi Everyone
Just purchased my first Alpina. Have been a Porsche collector and BMW daily driver for some time but finally got myself a dream thanks to Pierlo. Alpina B3 3.0/1 # 0116 with Switch Gear. Mechanically and body are superb and some tlc on the interior and it will be MINT! Pictures to follow. |

Hey Afshin good to have you here. Looking forward to the pics.
Did you bring the B3 in from Japan or get it here in Canada? |

Originally it was a Japanese import. I bought it from the person that imported it here to Canada. Here is a pic. More to follow

Looks like this one:
http://www.alpina.ca/showthread.php?t=532 Is the cluster an Alpina original? I think someone mentioned on another forum that it didn't have an Alpina cluster. |

It has the Alpina cluster with the extra switchgear electronic gauges. I am planning on doing a pretty complete restoration on it. My mechanic already took a look and was very impressed by mechanically condition. Aesthetically it needs some tlc mainly on interior and that is what we are going to work on.

The cluster was optional on both manual and Switchtronic models. On a manual the gear indicator is replaced with a volt meter.

It's been a while since I replied but the Alpina went for the full restoration. All the interior panels were removed and the fabric reattached properly. A perfect stock stereo was found and installed. Rubber trim pieces all around the car were replaced. Alpina wheels fully restored with awesome Bridgestone Potenza for added grip. Engine gone through full tune up and brakes completely redone with slotted M series rotors. Virtually everything either checked or replaced. Going through final detail before delivery after over $10000 spent. I should post pics very soon and can't wait to talk more about it guys.

Wow, that's a lot of work done! We need to see pictures for sure!
Where did you get your seats redone? I need the seats (foam and fabric) redone in my Land Cruiser, but I don't know who does this type of work in the Vancouver area. I'm sure there are a number of places around. |
