E28 Fuel lines / vapor/rollover tanks /new rear tail lights
Guys just a heads up - check those fuel lines coming out of the vapor/roll over tank in the E28 trunk. I found out the hard way completely filling my tank & extended tank up for winterizing that they are leaking and what a mess, much less a fire hazard. Fortunately the leaks were at the gas filler neck and not in the trunk. Thank goodness!
I never fill this car up 100% and the hoses have deteriated slightly due to time. They are getting replaced as I type and new undercoating is getting applied to cover up the mess from weaping gas. I am now checking out my M5 to see what condition these are in also.
I did add some brand new euro rear lights also to the Alpina and these are sweet with the rear fog lamps. The US lights do not have them. Thanks Mike G for getting these for me, make sure you hook up the fogs lamps in your B9 when you get yours installed.
